RN Surgical Services Manager / OR Scrub (Contract) — Calais, ME

Join a busy surgical services team in Calais, ME as a contract Registered Nurse. This full-time, Monday–Friday role (varied shift types) starts ASAP and pays $2,704 per 40-hour week.

Rate: $2,704 / 40 hours

Required qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior OR nursing and scrub experience required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Leadership or management experience preferred

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily surgical services operations and supervise OR staff
• Scrub and assist during procedures as needed while maintaining sterile technique
• Manage OR staffing, scheduling, and workflow to optimize case throughput and patient flow
• Coordinate surgical case scheduling with surgeons, anesthesia, and other departments
• Monitor quality indicators, infection control practices, and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and hospital leadership on operational and clinical matters
• Support staff training, development, and performance management
