Join a healthcare team in Waterville, ME as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This full-time role (35 hours/week) follows a Sun–Sat schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,244/35 hrs; Local rate $2,212/35 hrs.
Requirements:
- Valid, active Speech‑Language Pathologist state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders; interpret diagnostic tests to determine type and severity.
- Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, expression, and swallowing safety.
- Recommend, implement, and educate on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate.
- Provide patient- and family-centered education and home/practice strategies to support carryover in daily life, school, and work.
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate clinical records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate holistic care.
- Participate in professional development and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
