Rate: Travel: $2,244/35 hrs; Local: $2,212/35 hrs

Requirements:

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatics.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend, train in, and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic strategies, home programs, and carryover techniques.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
• Monitor and modify treatment based on patient response and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Support patients in generalizing communication skills to daily, educational, or work settings.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning and comply with facility policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
