Travel Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Seaford, DE (13-Week)

Join a healthcare team in Seaford, DE for a 13-week contract opportunity starting ASAP. You’ll work a full schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) focused on assessing and treating a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders. Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $2,121/35 hrs; Local rate $2,090/35 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

What you’ll do:

• Perform thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose the type and severity of communication issues and develop individualized treatment plans that align with each patient’s goals.
• Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and swallowing function.
• Evaluate and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions when appropriate.
• Teach patients and families practical strategies and home exercises to support communication and safe swallowing.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed to achieve the best outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Help patients generalize improved communication skills to everyday settings like home, school, or work.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
