Join a Silverdale, WA health system as a locum tenens Urology physician providing inpatient and outpatient coverage to supplement the existing team. Coverage is needed ASAP and continues on an ongoing basis. Clinical shifts run 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; call is beeper-based with a 1:6 ratio. Typical call schedule is 5–6 days per month (nights 5:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.; weekend blocks 7:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m.). Expect ~80% callbacks and 20% consults, with patient volumes of 20–25/day and 20–30 surgeries per month. Rounding is required.

Coverage windows include recurring multi-day blocks through summer months (examples: Apr 20–24 with weekend calls Apr 18–19, 25–26; May 4–8; Jun 22–26 and Jun 29–Jul 3; weekly blocks through July and August; ongoing availability desired). Shift and schedule flexibility appreciated.

Clinical responsibilities

• General urology care (clinic, procedures, and on-call duties)
• Common procedures: cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, prostate biopsy, TURP, vasectomy, nephrectomy, cystectomy
• Additional procedures: ESWL, Botox injections, uroflow/cuff, bladder scans
• Solo coverage model; hospitalists will manage admissions

• Trauma Level III hospital
• Robot available for cases
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: 2 RNs, MA, surgery scheduler, 2 front office staff
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements

• BC/BE in Urology
• Active Washington medical license or participation in IMLC
• DEA registration
• ACLS and BLS certification
• Self-query NPDB report
