Locum Tenens Urologist — Olympia WA | Outpatient/OR, Robotic Cases, Travel & Lodging Covered

We’re seeking a Urology physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Olympia, WA, with an option to transition to full-time clinic work starting June 8. This is primarily an outpatient role with clinical responsibilities plus call, beginning April 1, 2026 and continuing as needed.

What the schedule looks like

• Locum: 10–12 days per month.
• Full-time option (starts ~Jun 8): clinic 3 days/week (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), plus OR block time 2 days/week.
• Call: 24-hour beeper call (7 a.m.–7 a.m.), call ratio 1:2, response time 25–30 minutes. Locum call is 3–4 days/month for FT coverage; callbacks ~90%.

Patient mix and volume

• Adult patients only.
• Clinic volumes vary (locum ranges 3–16 patients/day; FT clinic up to 24).
• Phone consults ~5–6 per day; admissions ~2–3.
• Rounding is required.

Clinical scope and procedures

• General urology and urodynamics testing.
• Laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, ureteroscopy, prostatectomy.
• Renal and bladder ultrasound, TRUS, fusion biopsies, bladder biopsies.
• Incontinence procedures and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL).

Facility and support

• Outpatient-focused service at a facility with a 25-bed department and Level IV trauma designation.
• EMR: Epic.
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available.
• You’ll be joining a small physician team (1 physician) supported by 3 APPs, 2 RNs, 8 MAs, and 5 office staff.

Logistics and coverage

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
• This role is supplemental coverage and may continue on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Active Washington medical license or participation in IMLC.
• Board certified.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS current.
