Abrazo Medical Group, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our growing orthopedic team in Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity offers a balanced practice with access to both hospital and ambulatory surgical facilities, supporting a full spectrum of hand and upper extremity care.

Practice Highlights
- Full-time employed position with Abrazo Medical Group
- Practice locations: Abrazo West Campus Hospital and West ASMC Clinic
- 2-3 OR days and 2-3 clinic days per week
- Dedicated OR access with both hospital and ASC case availability
- Access to both hospital operating rooms and ambulatory surgery center
- Average clinic volume: 20-25 patients per clinic day
- Opportunity to perform advanced microsurgical procedures, including microvascular reconstruction, free tissue transfer, and complex limb salvage.
- Advanced equipment including onsite U-Arm X-ray and high-resolution exam room monitors
- Call rotation: approximately 1 week per month, shared coverage among group partners
Clinical Scope
The Orthopedic Hand Surgeon will provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, including both elective and trauma-related cases.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture, rheumatoid arthritis, and complex fractures
- Perform procedures including arthroplasty, tendon reconstruction, nerve repair, and fracture fixation
- Provide advanced reconstructive and microvascular surgical care, including soft tissue reconstruction and free tissue transfer
- Participate in microvascular replantation procedures for traumatic injuries when necessary
- Collaborate with certified hand therapists and multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and rehabilitation
Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Completion of a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)
- Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Surgery of the Hand
- Experience with microsurgical techniques for vessel and nerve repair
- Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Preferred Experience
- Interest or experience in microvascular reconstruction and limb salvage
- Background in plastic and reconstructive hand surgery techniques
- Experience managing complex trauma cases
