**Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics**
**Location: Fergus Falls, MN**
• Work closely with a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and experienced APP team in a collaborative practice environment.
• Role focuses on outpatient clinic management, aesthetic and reconstructive care, minor procedures, and pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Provide high-quality care in cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic services within a supportive rural healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and assessment of plastic surgery and aesthetic concerns.
• Diagnose and manage dermatologic and plastic surgery-related conditions, including skin care, wound care, and post-surgical follow-up.
• Perform or assist with in-office procedures, including:
o Botox and dermal filler injections
o Laser treatments
o Minor excisions and biopsies
o Suture removal
o Wound care and other aesthetic or reconstructive interventions
• Serve as first assist in the operating room for select surgical procedures (based on credentialing and qualifications).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Provide patient education on skincare, treatment plans, surgical expectations, and post-procedure care.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including ordering labs or imaging, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education.
• Promote a positive patient experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Minnesota licensure as an NP (with prescriptive authority) or PA, or eligibility to obtain.
• Certification by ANCC or AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in plastic surgery or dermatology settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to rural healthcare and serving diverse patient populations.
