**Physician Assistant Opening – Columbus, NE**
Located in Columbus, Nebraska.
Seeking a Physician Assistant to join a growing private practice providing care in both Urgent Care and Family Medicine settings. This role offers clinical variety, a collaborative care environment, and a balanced schedule with predictable weekend coverage.
**About the Position**
-Full-time or part-time opportunity
-Provide care in both urgent care and family medicine settings
-Clinical variety including acute care and primary care
-New graduates and experienced providers welcome
-Treat patients of all ages from pediatrics through geriatrics
-No overnight shifts
-Team-based practice environment
-Greenway Intergy electronic medical record system
**Clinical Responsibilities**
-Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in urgent care and primary care settings
-Manage acute illnesses and injuries including minor procedures
-Provide preventive care and chronic disease management
-Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies
-Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
-Provide patient education and counseling
-Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
-Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
-Adhere to evidence-based guidelines and quality standards
**Schedule**
-Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
-Full-time providers split time between urgent care and family medicine clinic
-Part-time providers work in urgent care
-One weekend per month required
-Weekday clinic hours generally Monday through Friday
-Urgent care open seven days per week
-No overnight shifts
**Qualifications**
-Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
-Current Physician Assistant license in Nebraska
-NCCPA certification required
-Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine preferred
-Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability
-Excellent communication and patient care skills
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively
