Locums Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Seeking a Locums Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a growing behavioral health team in Whitefield is. This position focuses on providing outpatient psychiatric care and medication management for patients with mental health and substance use disorders, with active participation in the organization’s Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Provide medication management for mental health and substance use disorders
• Participate in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, including support for patients receiving buprenorphine and other therapies
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and recovery coaches
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and medications
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation

• Substance use disorders (opioid, stimulant, alcohol)
• Depression and mood disorders
• Anxiety disorders
• Trauma-related conditions including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
• Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

 

Requirements

• Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active or eligible New Hampshire APRN license
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Experience treating substance use disorders
• Commitment to harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and patient-centered treatment
