Job Description

Looking for a new leadership endeavour? Join our physician-owned and operated group as the Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and make a real impact in a small community.

As the ER Medical Director at Houlton Regional Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and operational efficiency in the ED. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and make a significant impact on patient outcomes and experiences.

Average Annual Vol: ~11k
25 bed CAH
9 ER beds (15 total beds)
EMR: Meditech
24- hr. Shifts
1 MD/DO + 1 NP/PA coverage
FT: 5- 24-hrs. Shift
Beginning in September 2026!

Requirements:

Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
Active, unrestricted medical license in Maine
DEA, CSL
ACLS, PALS
Proficiency in emergency procedures and interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
