Locums Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a Locums Primary Care Physician to provide outpatient coverage in Colonial Heights beginning May 15. This position offers a flexible three-day-per-week schedule in a supportive outpatient setting focused on comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.

 

Assignment Details

• Start Date: May 15
• Schedule: 3 days per week
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Setting: Outpatient primary care clinic
• Average Patients Per Day: Approximately 22

 

Scope of Practice

The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services, including:

• Adult Medicine: General outpatient care (no ICU/CCU responsibilities)
• Pediatrics: Routine outpatient pediatric care
• Gynecology: Pelvic exams and Pap smears
• Minor Procedures:
• Suturing minor lacerations
• Incision and drainage (I&D)

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active Virginia medical license
• BLS certification
