We’re seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide supplemental anesthesia coverage in Plattsburgh, NY from July 6, 2026 through September 30, 2026. This locum tenens role supports both inpatient and outpatient cases and operates primarily Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with full-time (5 days/week) and flexible scheduling options available (including up to 24 shifts per week).

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver anesthesia care for adult patients across a high-volume surgical service line.
• Cover a broad case mix: orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, plastic surgery, podiatry, and GI endoscopy.
• Work within a supervised, collaborative anesthesia care team model with on-site anesthesiologist backup.
• Document perioperative anesthesia care accurately in Epic.
• Help maintain safe anesthesia practices for scheduled surgical procedures.

Patient and volume highlights

• Adult patient population.
• High daily volume: roughly 46 surgical cases and approximately 1,012 GI endoscopy cases per day.

Facility and support

• EMR: Epic.
• Standard anesthesia equipment supplied.
• Multidisciplinary OR team available, including surgeons, anesthesia staff, nurses, and techs.
• On-site anesthesiologists provide specialty backup.

Credentials and requirements

• Active New York CRNA license required.
• National Board Certification for CRNAs required.
• Current standard anesthesia and life support certifications as required by the facility.
• Prior hospital-based anesthesia experience preferred.
• Ability to function collaboratively within a supervised anesthesia care team.
• Hospital privileges required.
