We’re seeking a CRNA to join a team in Simpsonville, SC, starting June 1, 2026, with ongoing coverage. This locum tenens role supports both inpatient and outpatient services and includes a mix of clinical shifts and home call.

Schedule & Call

  • Clinical: choose either 4 × 10-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) or 5 × 8-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.).
  • On-call: weekday home call from 3:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; 24-hour weekend call.
  • Call frequency: roughly once every 12 weeks.
  • Call response time: 30–45 minutes.

Patients & Case Mix

  • Patient population: adolescents and adults (roughly ages 15–100).
  • Volume: about 200 cases during the coverage period.
  • Typical cases: general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, and other routine anesthesia procedures.

Facility & Support

  • EMR: Epic.
  • Equipment: standard anesthesia equipment available.
  • Support: one anesthesia technician on staff plus surgical and hospital specialty backup teams.
  • Reason for coverage: supplemental staffing to maintain the anesthesia schedule.

Credentials, Privileges & Onboarding

  • Must hold hospital privileges (temporary privileges are not available).
  • Credentialing timeline: roughly 4 months with an active SC license; 5–6 months if a license must be obtained.
  • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina CRNA license.
  • NBCRNA certification.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of CRNA experience.
  • CSR registration required.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Clean malpractice history and required facility vaccinations.

Procedures You’ll Perform

  • General anesthesia for a range of surgical procedures.
  • Obstetric anesthesia.
  • ENT and orthopedic anesthesia.
  • Perioperative pain management and related routine anesthesia care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage anesthesia before, during, and after procedures.
  • Monitor and document patient status in Epic.
  • Provide perioperative care and pain control.
  • Participate in the rotating clinical and call schedules with the anesthesia team.

Coverage begins 06/01/2026 and will continue on an ongoing basis. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered.
