Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
Coverage Period: Apr 27, 2026 – Ongoing (minimum 4-week commitment)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a)

Patient Population and Case Mix

  • Neonates, pediatrics, adults
  • Obstetric anesthesia including high-risk OB, pediatric cases, neuro (head) cases

Facility and Support

  • Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Standard anesthesia and OR equipment available
  • Specialty backup: OB, surgical, and hospital teams
  • Support: Anesthesia care team in a supervised model
  • Reason: Supplemental coverage

Privileges & Compliance

  • Hospital privileges required
  • Credentialing timelines (approx.): Arizona license ~6 weeks; IMLC ~2 months; Non-licensed ~3 months

Compensation & Logistics

  • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance NOT covered — must be built into your rate

Required Procedures

  • Obstetric anesthesia management (epidural, spinal)
  • Airway management and general anesthesia for surgical cases
  • Anesthesia for pediatric and neuro head cases

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona license or willingness to obtain
  • Board Certified CRNA within the last 5 years
  • Current applicable anesthesia certifications
  • Minimum 12 years recent CRNA hospital experience with OB exposure
  • Comfortable managing high-risk OB
  • Flexible for day, night, and weekend shifts
  • DEA: Not required

Duties

  • Provide anesthesia services for obstetric and surgical patients
  • Manage labor & delivery anesthesia, including high-risk OB
  • Collaborate with physicians and anesthesia care team under supervision
  • Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in facility EMR
