Schedule: ~16 shifts/month (mix of days and nights)

Clinical Scope

  • Adult and pediatric emergency care: full-spectrum EM including trauma, medical emergencies, acute illness, and injury stabilization.
  • ED volumes: Carrollton ED ~65,000 visits/year; Villa Rica ED ~45,000 visits/year.
  • Admissions coordinated with hospital services — no inpatient rounding required.
  • Specialty consultation available as needed.

Facility & Team

  • Carrollton ED: 40 beds; Villa Rica ED: 36 beds.
  • Both EDs designated Level II Trauma Centers.
  • EMR: Epic.
  • Support: Advanced Practice Providers (NPs, PAs) and full specialty backup through Tanner Health System.
  • Group: Physician-led, democratic emergency medicine group.
  • Reason for opening: growth and sustained community demand.

Credentials & Compliance

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine required.
  • Georgia medical license eligibility required.
  • Active DEA required.
  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS preferred.
  • Typical credentialing timeline: 60–90 days.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Partnership track begins year 3; average partner compensation ~ $450,000.
  • $50,000 sign-on bonus and $50,000 starting incentive.
  • Relocation assistance up to $14,000.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely evaluation, diagnosis, stabilization, and ongoing management of ED patients.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and APPs.
  • Document accurately and promptly in Epic.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
  • Eligible for Georgia medical license.
  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS preferred.
  • Open to both experienced and newly trained EM physicians.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led group.
