Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous cardiac surgery, ICU, or cardiac care experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and cardiac assessment skills
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery
- Perform pre- and post-operative assessments and monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and surgical sites
- Manage chest tubes, drains, and wound care
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on recovery and post-surgical care
- Document care and patient response in the EMR
