Join a team in Natick, MA, providing inpatient family medicine coverage on a locum tenens basis. This role is supplemental coverage starting April 1, 2026 and ongoing, with clinical shifts concentrated May 1–Nov 1, 2026 and remote call coverage beginning Apr 1, 2026 and continuing.

What you’ll do

• Provide independent inpatient care for patients aged about 10 through elderly (majority adults).
• Admit patients, round regularly, and manage a typical census around 52 patients.
• Handle 3–5 phone consults during call shifts; remote call coverage uses a beeper with a 30-minute response expectation.
• Use Cerner for documentation and charting.

Schedule and call

• Regular clinical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Call: nights, weekends, and holidays handled remotely; clinical on-site coverage primarily during the May–November window with ongoing remote call starting in April.
• Call volume during remote coverage: typically 3–5 patients.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts license
• Board certified
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• CPI training
• Able to practice independently

Logistics and support

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
• Facility uses Cerner EMR.
