- Schedule: 2 days/week; per diem half day (4 hrs) or full day (4–8 hrs); weekend availability optional
Duties
- Conduct one-time Compensation & Pension (C&P) and separation health exams.
- Exams are primarily interview-based with limited physical assessment (range of motion, muscle strength); use of a goniometer required.
- Perform METs testing and evaluate/diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions when indicated.
- Complete evaluations and required Record Reviews in VES provider portal.
- No prescribing or treatment.
- Training provided for Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
Requirements
- Active Florida license
- Board Certified (BC)
- DMA certification or willing to obtain
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation/diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Must own a laptop (no Macs/Apple) and have a personal office
- Provide ECFMG certificate if educated outside the U.S.
- Acceptable backgrounds: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or any clinician with general medicine OR compensation & pension experience
