Locum Tenens General Medicine Physician — Outpatient C&P Exams (Per Diem, Lawton/Stillwater OK)

We’re looking for a General Medicine clinician to provide supplemental locum tenens coverage, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. This role is clinical-only and mainly outpatient.

Schedule and commitment

• Flexible per diem opportunities: one day per week preferred.
• Half day (4 hours) or full day (4–8 hours) shifts available.
• Weekend availability is optional and welcomed.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct one-time Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments.
• Most evaluations are interview-based; expect some focused physical assessments (range of motion and muscle strength testing). Use of a goniometer is required.
• No prescribing or ongoing treatment responsibilities.
• Record review is required in most cases, and you’ll complete evaluations in the VES provider portal.
• Training will be provided for completing Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).

Clinical focus and qualifications

• Familiarity with musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues is important.
• Comfortable performing METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular function.
• Willing to accept physicians from Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or clinicians with General Medicine OR compensation and pension experience.

Administrative requirements

• Active Oklahoma medical license required.
• Board certified.
• Must have your own laptop (no Macs/Apple) and a personal office for documentation.
• DMA certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Must be located within 50 miles of the facility.
• If educated internationally, provide ECFMG certificate.
• Provide a recent self-query NPDB (pulled within the last month).
