PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Adults
- Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 12 15 patients per day
- Case Mix: Approximately 80% Oncology and 20% Hematology including benign and malignant hematologic conditions
FACILITY INFORMATION
- EMR System: Epic
- Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient oncology clinic equipment
- Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology available for bone marrow procedures
- Support Staff Available: 1 MD paired with 1 NP onsite; additional nursing support available
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 120 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Hematology and oncology patient evaluations and management
- Management of benign and malignant hematologic disorders
- Bone marrow procedures preferred but not required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active NY medical license
- Board: Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology, or Hematology/Oncology
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience: Hematology and Oncology clinical experience required
- Other Qualifications: Immunization record required; flu vaccine or declination required; negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within one year of start
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for scheduled clinic patients
- Diagnose and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the Epic EMR
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning as needed
