Ready to join a friendly team in Scarborough, ME? We’re seeking an LPN for a 9‑week contract (non‑travel) starting ASAP. This role is evening shifts (06:45 PM – 07:15 AM) and pays $1,152 for 36 hours locally.

What you’ll bring

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
  • Current BLS certification
  • A patient-centered attitude and the ability to work closely with RNs, physicians, and support staff

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care and support the clinical team with tasks such as:

  • Performing patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contributing to individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Managing wounds and dressings, and monitoring for signs of infection or complication
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations)
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and reporting changes in condition
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care
  • Administering and monitoring IV medications/fluids and caring for IV lines
  • Caring for urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, and monitoring)
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Assisting with positioning, mobility, comfort, and pain management
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support when needed
  • Following strict infection control practices and proper PPE use
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies according to policy
  • Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and supporting health assessments
  • Advocating for patients’ rights and needs within the care team
  • Supervising CNAs or UAPs when assigned, and performing other duties as requested by management
