LPN/LVN - Contract Long Term Care (13-Week) — Silver City, NM — Nights

Join a Silver City, NM healthcare team on a 13‑week contract (non‑travel), starting ASAP. This LPN position is scheduled evenings (06:00 PM–06:30 AM) with a local rate of $1,242 per 36 hours.

Required credentials:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse state license
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician oversight, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and participate in individualized care planning.
• Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Perform wound evaluation, cleaning, dressing changes, and surveillance for infection or complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and assist with diagnostic procedures as directed.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, self‑care, and preventive health measures.
• Support patient comfort and safety (positioning, mobility assistance, pain management) and respond to emergencies using established protocols.
• Follow infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team—RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate care.
• When assigned, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure quality care.
• Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and perform other duties as assigned by management.
