Join a neurosurgery team in Clearwater, FL as a locum tenens PA supporting both inpatient and outpatient care. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with beeper call 5–7 days/month (1:2 weekdays, 1:4 weekends) and a 30-minute call response time. This is supplemental coverage starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide clinical care for adult neurosurgery patients (patient volume ~15–35).
• Round regularly and assist as first assist in procedures.
• Read basic imaging and manage patients across inpatient and outpatient settings (about 50/50 split).
• Participate in call coverage as described.

Team and setting

• 4 neurosurgeons in the practice with 3 APPs supporting.
• Hospital is stroke certified.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available.

Requirements

• Active Florida license.
• Board Certified.
• ACLS and BLS.
• Minimum 1 year of neurosurgery (brain/spine) experience.

Logistics

• Shift: Mon–Fri, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Coverage type: Clinical + call.
• Call type: Beeper.
• Rounding included.
