Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Bowie, MD | 14-Week Contract, Competitive Pay

We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a team in Bowie, MD for a 14-week contract beginning ASAP. This is a Monday–Friday position (8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation: Travel: $1,754/35 hrs; Local: $1,726/35 hrs.

What you’ll need

• An active, valid Occupational Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

What you’ll do

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and the environments they live in to identify barriers and set meaningful goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and the broader care team.
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills, independence, and functional outcomes.
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Teach and practice daily living activities (self-care, home management, work and community tasks) to build skills and confidence.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to increase independence.
• Monitor, document, and adapt treatment based on ongoing patient progress.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports.
• Support patients’ transitions back to home, community, and work settings.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and pursue professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
