Contract RN — Pediatric/Adolescent Nursing (13-Week) — Granville County, NC

Location: Butner, North Carolina (secure juvenile facility)
Assignment: 13-week contract (possible renewal)
Start: ASAP
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Population: Adolescents (secure juvenile setting)
Specialty: Pediatric/Adolescent Nursing
Rate: $45–$50/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with adolescents (pediatric, school, public health, correctional, or emergency nursing)
• Ability to work independently and serve as sole on-site medical provider when required
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Teams or WebEx
• Proficiency with PointClickCare electronic charting
• Completion of orientation (virtual or in-person) and facility tour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care within RN scope of practice for adolescent patients
• Safely administer and document prescribed medications in compliance with regulations
• Monitor, assess, and document changes in patients’ medical conditions
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records per facility protocols
• Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity of care
• Function independently as the lone nurse on-site when scheduled, while coordinating with facility staff
• Promote health, safety, and wellness in a secure environment and comply with all facility security procedures
• Participate in required trainings and virtual meetings (remain visible on camera as directed)
• Perform other duties as assigned
