Rate: $2,182 / 36 hours

Summary:
Provide psychiatric nursing care in an emergency/crisis behavioral health setting. Work with ED and behavioral health teams to assess and manage patients in acute mental health crises.

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BLS required
• CPI or equivalent crisis prevention/de-escalation training preferred
• Prior behavioral health and/or emergency experience preferred
• Strong assessment, de-escalation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity crisis situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct crisis, mental health, and suicide risk assessments
• Monitor patient safety and apply de-escalation techniques
• Administer psychiatric medications and treatments per orders
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with ED and behavioral health teams on disposition and treatment
• Educate patients and families on treatment, safety planning, and community resources
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
