Travel RN – Transitional Care Unit (TCU) | Hilo, HI (36-hr Contract)

Join a supportive team in Hilo, HI as a Registered Nurse on a contract/travel assignment. This role is in the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and starts ASAP. The position offers $1,930 for 36-hour assignments.

What you’ll bring

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of nursing experience (TCU or Med-Surg preferred)
• BLS required (ACLS may be required by the agency)
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a team-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care according to facility policies and standards
• Monitor patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to the care team
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies
• Document accurately and promptly using Meditech EMR
• Provide care for patients with wound vacs, chest tubes, NG/G-tubes, tracheostomies, and PICC/PORT lines
• Collaborate with nursing aides and multidisciplinary staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Float to Med-Surg or Surgical Pediatrics units when needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment
