- San Jose, CA Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Schedule: M-F, 8a 5p
- Lancaster, CA Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Schedule: M-F, typically 8a 4p (flexible 7a 3p or 9a 5p)
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Infants and Pediatrics
- Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 23 25 patients per day
- Case Mix: Bread and butter outpatient pediatrics including newborn visits, sick visits, and well-child exams
FACILITY INFORMATION
- EMR System: Epic
- Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient pediatric clinic equipment
- Support Staff Available: Medical Assistants and LVNs; each provider typically assigned an MA with LVN support as needed
- Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 30 45 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: All-inclusive rate structure; some assignments include approximately $1,000 monthly stipend for travel and lodging
- Orientation: Some assignments bill orientation at 50% of the hourly rate REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Routine pediatric examinations and wellness visits
- Diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric illnesses
- Preventive care and patient counseling
- Newborn and infant wellness visits
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active CA medical license
- Board: Board Certified in Pediatrics
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience: New graduates may be considered if board certified; preference for providers with 2+ years of experience
- Other Qualifications: Spanish speaking ability preferred for some clinic locations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide outpatient pediatric care for scheduled clinic patients
- Diagnose and treat pediatric illnesses and conditions
- Perform newborn, infant, and pediatric wellness examinations
- Coordinate care with clinic staff and support personnel
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR system
