Rate: Travel: $2,121 / 35 hrs; Local: $2,090 / 35 hrs
Requirements:
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Provide therapy targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatics.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and train safe swallowing strategies.
- Recommend, fit, and provide training for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy strategies, carryover activities, and home programs.
- Monitor, document, and update patient progress; adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, plans, progress notes).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care.
- Facilitate transfer of communication skills to daily, educational, and work settings.
- Participate in professional development to remain current in evidence-based practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
