Join a 14-week contract in Jersey Shore, PA, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,293/35 hrs; Local rate $2,261/35 hrs.
Requirements
- Current, active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognition-communication, and swallowing function; use clinical assessment and diagnostic testing to determine diagnosis and severity.
- Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy targeting articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and swallowing (dysphagia).
- Recommend, implement, and train patients/families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions when appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies, home programs, and safe swallowing techniques to support carryover.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise treatment plans based on outcomes and changing needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, plans of care, and progress notes.
- Support patient generalization of communication skills across daily activities, school, or work.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and comply with facility policies; perform other duties as assigned by management.
