Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (35 hours/week)
Rate: Travel $2,317/35 hrs; Local $2,282/35 hrs
Requirement:
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapy addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and dysphagia
- Implement interventions for safe swallowing and recommend compensatory strategies
- Evaluate and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs, and carryover techniques
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes)
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care
- Facilitate generalization of communication skills to daily, educational, and work settings
- Participate in continuing professional development and other duties as assigned by management
