Join a surgical oncology/general surgery team in Santa Monica, CA for a W2 contract covering inpatient and outpatient services from June 8 to August 17, 2026. This full-time clinical assignment (8–10 weeks) follows a Monday–Friday schedule with variable shift times: Tuesday/Friday approximately 8:00–17:00 (may end 14:00–15:00), Wednesday reserved for major cases, Thursday for lighter/add-on cases (assist role), and Monday variable. Patient load typically ranges from 4–15 daily.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-assist support and independent clinical care in the OR and inpatient settings.
• Manage surgical oncology/general surgery cases across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Document thoroughly in Epic (notes, H&Ps) and coordinate with the care team.

Team and environment:

• Support staff includes 2 RNs, 1 NP/PA, 2 MAs, and 2 office staff.
• EMR: Epic.
• Hospital privileges required.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.

Requirements:

• Active CA license and CA DEA.
• Board Certified.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Robotics experience and certification.
• Documentation of at least 25 general cases (notes/H&Ps) and 5 OR cases.

Skills:

• Strong OR and surgical proficiency.
• Experience as a PA first-assist with the ability to work independently in inpatient surgical settings.
