Full Time Faculty Psychiatric Physician

Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.

About the Position:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
• Primarily outpatient practice with occasional inpatient and ER consults
• Average patient load of 7–8 patients per day
• Call shared on a rotating basis with UT Health North Campus Psychiatry physicians

• Precept and supervise four psychiatry residents in an outpatient clinic setting, integrating them into treatment planning and clinical operations
• Conduct pre- and post-treatment psychiatric assessments to support high-quality patient care
• Lead follow-up clinics to monitor patient progress and outcomes

• 40% supervising residents within a collaborative care service at UT Health Science Center
• 40% outpatient clinical care
• 20% academic leadership responsibilities
