Job Description
Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.
About the Position:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
- Primarily outpatient practice with occasional inpatient and ER consults
- Average patient load of 7–8 patients per day
- Call shared on a rotating basis with UT Health North Campus Psychiatry physicians
- Precept and supervise four psychiatry residents in an outpatient clinic setting, integrating them into treatment planning and clinical operations
- Conduct pre- and post-treatment psychiatric assessments to support high-quality patient care
- Lead follow-up clinics to monitor patient progress and outcomes
- 40% supervising residents within a collaborative care service at UT Health Science Center
- 40% outpatient clinical care
- 20% academic leadership responsibilities
