Join a cardiac-thoracic surgery team in Springfield, OH, to provide inpatient locum tenens coverage from April through July 2026. This role supports adult and geriatric patients in the OR, ICU/CVICU, and on the wards with clinical duties and call responsibilities.
Schedule and coverage
- Coverage period: April–July 2026
- Shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Specific coverage dates: Apr 6–13; Apr 20–Jun 1, 2026
- Call: evening call (5:00 PM–7:00 AM) and 24-hour call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
- Rounding included
- Patient census: typically 5–20
Clinical responsibilities
- Inpatient rounding and coordination of care
- Admit/discharge and daily management of adult/geriatric patients
- Write prescriptions, order and interpret diagnostic tests
- OR responsibilities including vein harvesting and OR call
- ICU/CVICU coverage; critical care experience will be considered
- Specialty backup available 24/7 (emergency, maternity, critical care, surgery, pediatric support)
Requirements and credentials
- Active Ohio license or ability to obtain quickly
- Board certified (BC)
- ACLS certification
- Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
- Availability for the specified open dates

- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
This is supplemental inpatient coverage; candidates should be prepared for clinical duties plus call across OR and critical care settings.
