Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Portage, WI (Day/Night Shifts, Travel & Lodging Covered)

We’re seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Portage, Wisconsin. This role is clinical only and begins July 3, 2026 with ongoing coverage. You’ll cover 14–16 shifts per month, mixing day and night shifts in a busy ED/UC setting that sees roughly 40–60 patients per 24-hour period (annual ED volume ~25,000).

What the department looks like

• ED beds: 13
• Typical patient census: ~20 per shift (40–60 per 24 hours)
• Support team: 4 RNs, 2 APPs, 1 MA, and 1 office staff
• On-site services: lab, radiology, anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, OR response team
• Additional support: telestroke and Tele-ICU services; UW helicopter on site
• EMR: Epic
• L&D department available

Requirements

• Active WI medical license or participation in the IMLC
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine
• ACLS and ATLS required
• ACT 10 applicable
