Locum Tenens Hematology & Oncology Physician — Marquette, MI

Join a collaborative hematology/oncology team in Marquette, Michigan, providing both inpatient and outpatient care on a locum tenens basis. This role is supplemental coverage with an ASAP start and ongoing schedule: two weeks per month, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional night and weekend beeper call (1:2 ratio, 15-minute response expectation).

What you’ll do

• Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care across clinic and hospital settings.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and manage treatment plans.
• Participate in weekly tumor board meetings and work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including genetic counselors and research staff.
• Use ONCO EMR for documentation and coordinate care with onsite resources.
• Provide occasional night and weekend call as needed.

Patient and volume details

• Average daily patient volume: 10–15
• Phone consults: typically 0–5 per day
• Case mix: hematology and oncology

Facility and support

• EMR systems: Athena and Cerner (ONCO EMR for oncology workflows)
• In-office equipment: ultrasound, X-ray, and lab draw capabilities
• Support staff: 13 RNs, 3 PAs/NPs, and 13 office staff

Credentials and requirements

• Board certified (BC required)
• Licensed to practice in Michigan
• BLS and ACLS required
• Fellowship preferred; oncology experience preferred
• Comfortable with EMR systems and team-based care

Privileges and logistics

• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges not available)
• Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance
