Schedule: Daily rotation — Sun–Sat, 07:00 AM–07:30 PM
Rate: Local: $1,400/36-hours
Requirements:
- Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for PA
- BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, basic procedures.
- Perform assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols.
- Manage wounds and dressings; monitor for infection or complications.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status changes.
- Maintain accurate patient records of treatments, observations, and medication administration.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
- Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and maintain IV lines as permitted by facility policy.
- Care for urinary catheters (insertion/maintenance/monitoring) as required by scope of practice.
- Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.
- Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
- Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol.
- Follow infection control practices and use PPE appropriately.
- Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations.
- Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs.
- Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned and within scope.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
