LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) – Long Term Care | 12-hr Days | Fredericksburg, VA | 9-Week Contract

Join a healthcare team in Fredericksburg, VA for a 9-week contract (local, non-travel) starting ASAP. This role follows a 12-hour day schedule (07:00 AM–07:00 PM) with a rate of $1,026 per 36 hours.

You’ll be a hands-on member of the care team, working under RN or physician guidance to deliver safe, compassionate nursing care. Your day-to-day will include administering medications and IV therapies, performing wound care, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and completing focused patient assessments to help shape individualized care plans. You’ll collect specimens for lab testing, care for patients with urinary catheters, and assist with mobility, positioning, and pain management to promote comfort and safety.

Clear, accurate documentation is important—record changes in condition, treatments given, and medication administration. You’ll educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care, advocate for patient needs, and support preventive care efforts like vaccinations and screenings. In urgent situations, you’ll respond quickly following established protocols and provide basic life support when needed.

Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to coordinate care. Depending on the assignment, you may also supervise CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel. You’ll follow infection control standards, handle and dispose of medications and supplies safely, and keep your skills current through ongoing training.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
• BLS certification

Other duties may be assigned by management.
