Clinical Responsibilities / Procedures

General adult neurosurgery including trauma
Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation
Placement of intracranial pressure (ICP) monitors
No airway management certifications required

Privileges & Credentialing

Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
Applicants must submit case logs: 100 cases in the past 24 months specific to requested privileges
Need current number of case logs for privileging
Temporary fluoroscopy (FLURO) acceptable during privileging

Requirements

Active California medical license
Board certified (BC)
California DEA registration
Clean professional record
FLURO certification (temporary acceptable)
Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in neurosurgery
Any gaps >3 months in practice must be explained
