Type: Contract/Travel — 13 weeks
Start: ASAP
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30
Rate: Travel $1,579/35 hrs; Local $1,558/35 hrs
Required credentials
- Valid, active Occupational Therapy state license
- CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)
Core responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental status to identify limitations and establish goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), functional independence, and safety
- Recommend, fit, and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Train and practice ADLs, energy conservation, and compensatory strategies with patients and caregivers
- Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to promote independence
- Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress; maintain accurate evaluations and progress notes
- Coordinate care with rehabilitation team members and community resources to support discharge and return-to-work/community goals
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and adherence to current OT standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
