Rate: Travel $1,579/35 hrs; Local $1,558/35 hrs

Required credentials

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Core responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental status to identify limitations and establish goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), functional independence, and safety
• Recommend, fit, and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Train and practice ADLs, energy conservation, and compensatory strategies with patients and caregivers
• Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to promote independence
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress; maintain accurate evaluations and progress notes
• Coordinate care with rehabilitation team members and community resources to support discharge and return-to-work/community goals
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education and adherence to current OT standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
