We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a team in Camden, ME on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a Monday–Friday position, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Two pay options are available: Travel $1,754/35 hrs or Local $1,726/35 hrs.
What you’ll need
- Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license
- Current CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, including AED)
What you’ll do
- Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and their environments to identify barriers and set meaningful goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team.
- Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain daily living skills and independence.
- Recommend and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Teach and practice functional activities to improve everyday performance.
- Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to promote independence.
- Monitor and document progress, updating plans as needed.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
- Support patients’ transitions back to community life and work.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
