Adelphi is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide one-to-one, school-based nursing for students with severe disabilities at a school in Union, Missouri. Nurses will deliver care according to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individual Health Plan (IHP), and will accompany the student on daily transportation to and from home.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills in an educational setting
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day and during transportation
- Implement nursing services consistent with the student’s IEP and IHP
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to health needs and emergencies
- Review medical records and student history to inform care
- Collaborate with classroom staff and participate in consultations; demonstrate care techniques as needed
- Complete required documentation, including service logs and progress notes in designated systems
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and orientation sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, mandated reporting, and school policies (including abuse prevention/reporting)
- Ensure on-site coverage; telehealth/remote services are not permitted
