We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses to provide 1:1, school-based nursing support for students with significant disabilities at a school in Union, Missouri. You’ll work directly with one student, following their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individual Health Plan (IHP), and you’ll accompany the student on the bus to and from home to ensure continuity of care.

What we’re looking for
- Active Missouri RN license in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or working with developmental disabilities
- Must pass Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) screening and an FBI fingerprint background check
- Strong communicator who can collaborate well with a multidisciplinary educational team
What you’ll do
- Provide continuous 1:1 nursing care to an assigned student during the school day and while transporting the student to and from home
- Follow and implement the student’s IEP and IHP to support medical needs and educational goals
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, and respond appropriately to medical issues or emergencies
- Review medical histories and student records to deliver informed care
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and staff to support the student’s participation and progress; provide training or demonstrations of care techniques when needed
- Document services, progress notes, and IEP-related input accurately and in a timely manner using designated systems
- Attend required orientations, trainings, meetings, and IEP meetings as requested
- Help ensure continuity of services by coordinating or supporting substitute nurse coverage when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA and FERPA), follow mandated reporting laws, and comply with all state regulations and professional standards
- Perform all duties on-site; remote or telehealth work is not permitted
