Locums Residency Preceptor Physician

We are seeking a Locums Residency Preceptor Physician to provide adult and geriatric outpatient care in Jackson, MI. This role focuses on supervising resident physicians and clinic staff, providing guidance and oversight in a structured outpatient setting. There is no call or emergency department coverage required.

Schedule

• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, daily clinic shifts
• Weekend Requirements: None
• Patient Load: Adult and geriatric outpatients
• Supervision: Resident preceptors and clinic staff

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive adult and geriatric outpatient care
• Supervise and mentor resident physicians during clinical shifts
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in educational activities for residents as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the clinic EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license
• BLS certification
• Experience in adult and geriatric outpatient care
• Strong teaching, mentorship, and communication skills
