Locums General Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Locums General Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour call coverage in Defiance, OH. This role involves managing a variety of adult general surgical cases in a hospital setting, with a focus on high-quality patient care and timely surgical intervention.

Schedule & Call

• Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirements: Yes
• On-Call Requirements: Yes

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based surgical practice
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Collaborative clinical environment with support staff

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage for general surgery cases
• Evaluate and manage surgical consults
• Perform a range of adult general surgical procedures
• Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care

Requirements & Certifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active Ohio medical license and DEA
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flu vaccination required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
