Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Board-Certified General Surgeon to join our growing team in Lavonia, Georgia, helping to develop and expand an Acute Care Surgery and Elective Practice. This opportunity offers a focused surgical role without trauma coverage, allowing for a more predictable schedule and excellent work–life balance.
Position Overview
- Practice Type: Acute Care Surgery and Elective General Surgery
- Trauma: None
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling with 183 shifts per year
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of general surgery procedures, including endoscopy and EGD
- Participate in the development and growth of the Acute Care Surgery and Elective Practice
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, physicians, and support staff
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered surgical care
Requirements
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Active Georgia medical license
- Demonstrated experience with endoscopy and EGD procedures
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

- Generous (above market) hourly rate
- All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group, on top of the per shift rate
