**Wound Care NP Opening in Coquille, OR**
Coos Bay 17m; Eugene 130m; Medford 140m
We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive wound care services within a hospital-based outpatient wound care clinic. This role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with established clinical protocols and industry best practices.
- No prior wound care experience is required. A structured training program is provided, including approximately 38 hours of continuing medical education (CME).
- Conduct inpatient consultations and initial wound care management
- Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, and other providers
- Develop and manage patient care plans
- Complete documentation within 24 hours of service
**Schedule**
- Approximately 4.5 days per week
- Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Outpatient clinic open Monday–Thursday; limited Friday responsibilities (primarily inpatient follow-ups as needed)
**Perform procedures including:**
- Debridement (including sharps debridement)
- Advanced wound dressings
- Skin substitute applications
- Total contact casting
- Wound cultures and biopsies
- Incision and drainage (as needed)
**Patient Care & Workflow**
- Average 8–16 patients per day
- New patient visits: 90–120 minutes
- Follow-up visits: 45–60 minutes
- Weekly patient follow-ups standard
- Inpatient consults completed between clinic visits
**Team Structure**
- Work closely with wound care nursing staff
- Function as the primary independent provider within the clinic
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams
**Compensation & Benefits**
- Base Salary: $145,000 annually
- Performance Bonus: Up to $35,000 annually based on wRVU production
- Retirement contribution up to 7.5% (with match)

**Vacation:**
- 0–2 years: 4 weeks
- 3–5 years: 5 weeks

- CME Time: 1 week (40 hours) annually
- CME Allowance: Up to $2,500 per year for:
- Tuition, lodging, transportation, meals
- Licensure, DEA, board certification, and review courses
- Other approved education-related expenses
**Qualifications**
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) with active licensure
- Board certification required (AANPCB or ANCC)
- Strong clinical skills and willingness to learn wound care procedures
