Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Fort Wayne, IN

TeamHealth has an exciting opportunity to grow your career as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Maple Heights Behavioral Health Hospital, a recently opened hospital in a brand new building in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a full-time position for a PMHNP able to work independently and give high-quality, compassionate care to patients. Your primary responsibility will be admission and treatment of psychiatric inpatients, but there will be a blend of this and outpatient treatment of patients in the IOP. You will be able to follow a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with set hours and no restriction on a private practice after hours. We are seeking candidates who are skilled clinicians in a hospital-based setting, and we would love to explore this opportunity with you.

Opportunity Overview

• Typical case load 14-16 patients/day
• Primarily inpatient with some IOP coverage
• Hours 8-5
• After hour call coverage (initially by rotation then voluntary with additional stipend)
• Unit has UR and social worker
• Daily treatment team meetings
• Paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage
• Access to TeamHealth's clinician wellness program and referral program
• Developed infrastructure with extensive back office support as well as local management

Compensation

• Very generous base salary
• Productivity bonus
• After-hour call coverage (by rotation)
• Weekend coverage (by rotation)

Requirements

• Indiana licensed PMHNP with active DEA
• Must have inpatient psychiatric experience
