Job Details
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours
Practice setting: Emergency department
Schedule: Multiple shift options including 6:00 AM _ 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM _ 6:00 PM, 10:00 AM _ 10:00 PM, 2:00 PM _ 12:00 AM, 6:00 PM _ 4:00 AM, 10:00 PM _ 6:00 AM
Shift volume: Approximately 130 hours per month
Patient volume: Approximately 1.8 patients per hour
EMR: Epic with Dragon dictation
Providers requested: 4
Clinical Responsibilities
Emergency department evaluation and treatment of pediatric through geriatric patients
Management of acute illnesses, trauma, and critical care cases
Procedures including reductions, cardioversion, moderate sedation, laceration repair, chest tube placement, intubation, and central line placement
Interpretation of EKGs and imaging
Collaborative team based emergency care
Support Structure
Full specialty backup including general surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, OB/GYN, urology, and nephrology
ACLS and PALS trained nursing staff
Team based emergency department coverage model
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
Active Arkansas license required
ACLS certification required
ATLS certification required
BLS certification required
PALS certification required
DEA certification required
Clean malpractice history required
